Bay Scribe and Pillar takes its name from two quiet ideas. A scribe records intent with both precision and empathy, understanding the human narrative beneath the data, and, like the carpenter, traces an uneven surface so materials fit exactly, with no forced seams. A pillar stands until the work is truly complete.

I’m Heather Gunn, and I founded Bay Scribe and Pillar because I’ve spent a career inside both the boardroom and the mess.
As a PMP-certified analyst with Ernst & Young, I worked on multi-billion-dollar property portfolios where a missing field in a spreadsheet meant a missed audit. As a military spouse, I learned that when the plan breaks, you need a partner who doesn’t panic.
